This was my final assignment for my game design studio 3 class.
'Inheritance' is a short horror game set in a old house previously owned by your late grandparents.
My focus on the game was the art so thats why its not very long but i'm planning to remake the game in the future so keep updated for more information.

"Inheritance" sounds like a bone-chilling experience right off the bat! Exploring an old house with a mysterious past leads to some unexpected frights and thrills. The title alone suggests themes of legacy and secrets passed down through generations, that creates a sense of unease and anxious anticipation.
The unusual twists and turns result in an engaging gameplay, that kept this humble player on edge as i, as the lost protagonist uncover the dark history of my family's legacy. This game strongly appeals to any fan of atmospheric horror and suspenseful storytelling.
I didn't run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags, so kudos to all involved, and thanks for making this very enjoyable game! well done!
Overall:
That was a beautiful horror experience! 👍
The game looks really good. Nothing feels out of place. Player movement is fluid. The music was on point to set the tone for the atmosphere. That was a nice! 👏
Feedback (to go even further beyond!!!):
If I could add something to this game, I'd say "cursor help". When you first play the game, you see a hand icon whenever you point a door. As a player, it makes you believe that "an hand icon appears when pointing towards interactable objects"... but with this supposition, I went through all the rooms available at that point and I found nothing. 😅
I ended up going back to the starting room, I looked around a bit and then I tried to turn on the light even if there was no hand icon... and it worked. I was like "Wait. Really? 👀". After that, I was able to finish the game without any issue but I told you about this story because I wanted to show you this perspective.
To solve this, you should maybe either:
Last word:
Overall, I had a great time and I'm amazed by the work you were able to put up for a school project. Congrats and keep up the good work! I hope you'll make it far! 😁

I would also appreciate if you could give an opinion on our latest game. Game devs advice is precious because we know better what it takes to make something work. It's called "Backdoor Shifts"
