Levy, Jonah. The state after statism: new state activities in the age of liberalization. Florence: Harvard University Press. 2006: 198.ISBN 0-495-50112-3.In the corporate governance area, thecenter-left repositioned itself to press for reform. The Democratic Party in the United States used the postbubble scandals and the collapse of share prices to attack the Republican Party ... Corporate governance reform fit surprisingly well within the contours of the center-left ideology. The Democratic Party and the SPD have both been committed to the development of the regulatory state as a counterweight to managerial authority, corporate power, and market failure.
Zurcher, Anthony.US election: How left-wing is the Democratic field?. BBC News. 2020-02-24 [2021-12-14].The party has moved rather decisively to the left on trade in recent years, however, with Elizabeth Warren opposing the Trans-Pacific Partnership, among other recent trade deals. Bernie Sanders has gone one step further, opposing Trump's Nafta renegotiation, the US-Mexico-Canada agreement.
America’s Democrats are losing their moderates. The Economist. 2021-10-29 [2021-12-14].Bill Clinton’s and Barack Obama’s presidencies were in part a victory for prudent activists who argued that appealing to the centre-left could outweigh the votes from the Republicans’ conservative base. But now the Democratic Party may have shifted too far to the left. New research from YouGov, a polling firm, suggests that despite its recent wins the party’s popularity is decreasing—especially among moderates.
2. How partisans view each other.Pew Research Center. 2019-10-10 [2021-12-14].Republicans are substantially more likely to characterize Democrats as more unpatriotic than other Americans than Democrats are to say this of Republicans: 63% of Republicans view Democrats as more unpatriotic.
您所举的例子:“The Democratic Party and the SPD have both been committed to the development of the regulatory state as a counterweight to managerial authority, corporate power, and market failure.”,社会民主党的政策普遍执行力比民主党高得多,以及支持和平主义、裁军等,总体比民主党左,而民主党的偏左政策普遍还停留在纸面上。

(Beauchamp, Zack.Identity politics isn’t hurting liberalism. It’s saving it.. Vox. 2020-02-20 [2021-12-17](英语).These critics accuse identity politics of being a cancer on the very idea of liberalism, pulling the mainstream American left away from a politics of equal citizenship and shared civic responsibility.)、要么说其是中左翼(Center-Left Liberalism.),也符合“左翼自由主义”这个定义。
“In Congress, the party is a big-tent coalition with influential centrist, progressive, and conservative wings.”[1]
“Political scientists characterize the Democratic Party as less ideologically cohesive than the Republican Party due to the broader diversity of coalitions than compose the Democratic Party.”[2][3][4]

“A conservative Democrat is a member of the Democratic Party with conservative political views, or with views relatively conservative with respect to those of the national party. While such members of the Democratic Party can be found throughout the nation, actual elected officials are disproportionately found within the Southern states and to a lesser extent within rural regions of the United States generally, more commonly in the West. ”[5]
但再怎样还是民主党内的(New Democrats)派占主导位置(民主党高层都是这个派别的),政治立场属于中间,其他派别都是从属地位(引用英维:“New Democrats dominated the party from the late 1980s through the mid-2010s”)。
