第三季中期，舍羅娜的扮演者比蒂·施拉姆（英语：Bitty Schram）据称因“創意上的分歧”離開劇組，其角色也搬回新澤西州與前夫複合。隨後在第三季第10集《阿蒙與紅鯡魚》中，特蕾勒·霍華德（英语：Traylor Howard）飾演的單親媽媽委托人娜塔莉·提戈接替舍羅娜成爲蒙克的新助手。
旧金山警察局警監利蘭·施托特邁爾和其副手警督蘭迪·迪舍對蒙克的態度，從最開始的不信任慢慢轉變爲親切的戰友關係，而他也在偵破一起又一起起案件的同時，時刻注意收集與妻子遇害案件有關的可能綫索。
