Yes it would be great to have a russian version.
I have seen the hunger winter in 93.
I saw the youth of Ukraine die from AIDS in the 2000s,
the people's revolution in Belarus crushed in 2020.
Now
Never before did I felt so hopeless, saw the Russian youth fleeing in silence,
reaped of their hopes, drowning.
Selfcare is resistance.
Thank you so much.(sorry for any english mistakes, i'm not a native english speaker) I was looking for a game to be a nice addition in my "cool game that made you smile" but this one has turned to be a HUGE part of my "game that left a deep mark on me. THANK YOU for changing something within me." just like DDLC, persona, 12 hours... You know, THAT kind of games ?
Well... why ? I care to explain.
Short story, but my dad mentally abused me when i was younger. A bad dad but a nice person who was lost in his feelings and life, probably just like i was/am. I grew up hating him, but when i was 15, he fell victim to a terrorist attack, and even if he survived, i believe it was more than he could bear, given everything he had already experienced (brother's grief, one of his son had cut ties with him). .. and so i learned to forgive him. a little at least. But at 23, he commited suicide. Just like... [SPOILERS] May.
Even for me, a big depressed since what i lived, it was hard to endure. and it is still ! So that's WHY this game moved me so much.... Same for me, regret, things i would've told him before.. the feeling of guilt that stays.. etc.. This game really moves me. So i hope you'll read this and smile, knowing that you made a man cry, because you helped him cure a little bit much. I just did the 4 endings and it is freaking awesome, i assure you i don't have the words to express how this makes me feel. Thanks.
The designs, the dialogue, very well written, i deep down in, after like 2 minutes..
This would be the game i would play for 15hours at least if it was longer, with multiple choices etc. Really good work.
Of course, we could have dialogue skipping when we already did some parts, as a widescreen user, i had black strip, and when playing for all ending, the panoramic picture fonction (the fact that when you move the cursos it moves the picture) could be a little anooying.. but hey, we just don't care at this point, it's an indie game, the story's amazing, the plot is captivating. The point n click mechanics are great. We clearly see you put so much passion and effort, that we DONT pay attention to those little things. It's a straight 98% satisfaction.
And of course, all my love, my strenght goes to you if you lived something that's even 25% close to that game. Wish you the best, Max.
PS : It's kinda late, my bad if i forgot some random words xD
!!TW!! 0v3rd0s3
in 7th grade, i was abt 11 or 12. i had a friend that asked to call me and i let her. i answered the phone n she was crying, she was rambling quietly about wanting to 0v3rd0s3 on her meds and wanting to d13. i did my best to comfort her despite not knowing what the flip i was doing. shes still alive now, about 5 years later. we dont talk anymore besides the occasional greeting whenever we come across each other. she seems to be doing well now. i hope she never goes back to that state and that she forgets abt tht incident.
ACTUAL REVIEW
i love the art style, the unserious parts were definitely needed to balance out the darker plots of the story, even if it was jus a tiny bit. definitely worth 5 stars
I enjoyed this, the art was beautiful the absolute highlight of the game really lent itself to creating a beautiful atmosphere, the music was also pretty solid if a bit repetitive, but I wasn't catching a loop. I felt like the dialogue kind of had peaks and valleys as far as quality, but it was always strong when it needed to be I just felt like there were moments it came off a bit robotic at the start. I thought the heavy scenes were handled really well for what you're going for it wasn't too gruesome or shocking more bleak than anything, but in a good way that really pays off when you find the good ending which I thought was very tender and sweet and really well done! I wasn't able to donate rn but I'll be sure to throw a couple dollars this way when I can.
