The Wind Waker

The Telescope isAryll's most treasured possession.[5][6] Despite this, she lends it to her brotherLink at the beginning of the game as a birthday present. Although she says she will let him borrow it for one day only, he ends up keeping it for the remainder of the game after she gets kidnapped.

With the Telescope, Link noticesQuill looking up at the sky at theHelmaroc King kidnappingTetra, and it is also the only time the Telescope is needed to advance the story of the game.[7][8] The Telescope is also useful to locate elements that are too far from Link's first glance, such as theSeagulls surrounding aBig Octo, or aSubmarine.

Telescopes are also used by many otherCharacters andEnemies inThe Wind Waker. These includeSea Bokoblins,Zuko, theOld Man Ho Ho, andKamo. The Old Man Ho Ho also uses a Kaleidoscope in one instance.[9]
