Outposts are small stations that are found scattered around battlefields. They are similar toKeeps in thatAllied Forces,Enemy Forces, andRogue Forces fight over them for possession, and that they are used to call upon reinforcements and to counter advancing units. Unlike the structured Keeps that spawn dozens of troops at a time, Outposts are only watched by a couple troops and an Outpost Captain who serves as an Outpost's main line of defense. If an Outpost Captain is defeated by another Force, their Outpost will be claimed. Outposts are commonly found in corner sections of the battlefield. Often a Keep may have one or two Outposts outside to serve as another measure of defense.

Outposts are locations found inBattles that may be controlled by either allied orEnemy troops. Capturing them is a common objective inScenarios andChallenges. While aWarrior is standing in one, a gauge appears that indicates the Outpost owner's control over it, appearing blue if under allied control and red if controlled by Enemies. As the inhabitants of the Outpost are defeated, this gauge will deplete; if it is Enemy-controlled, aPowerful Foe will appear to defend it when the gauge has been sufficiently depleted. Defeating that Powerful Foe will place the Outpost under the control of the allied forces and summonSoldiers to guard it.
