Mineru's Construct is anObject inTears of the Kingdom.^[1]

Location and Uses

Mineru's Construct is aCrafter Construct thatMineru uses as a replacement body in order to help fight againstDemon King Ganondorf. Upon finding theZonai Relic onDragonhead Island, Mineru asksLink to bring it to theConstruct Factory in theDepths through theTobio's Hollow Chasm. There, the Zonai Relic will become the head of theConstruct, and Link must retrieve four limbs for it at each of the Construct Factory's depots.

After successfully assembling all of its component parts, Link can pilot Mineru's Construct by riding upon its shoulders. By doing so, Link canFuse variousObjects andItems onto its arms and back. Objects Fused onto its arms can augment its offensive capabilities while those placed on its back can alter how the Construct moves. CertainZonai Device as well as simply having the Construct walk will use theEnergy Cell when Link is riding the Construct, but not if Mineru is operating it on her own. The Construct also can traverseGloom without being afflicted. While attaching aBow to the Construct has no effect, Link himself can still fire them as normal while riding it.

When Link assembles the pieces to Mineru's Construct, she guides him to theSpirit Temple where herSecret Stone awaits. However, upon entering the Spirit Temple, the two find theSeized Construct corrupted byGanondorf'sMagic blocking their way. Link must fight this Seized Construct while riding Mineru's Construct in order to gain access to Mineru's Secret Stone and reawaken her as theSage of Spirit. Once Mineru regains her Secret Stone, she will remain inside the Spirit Temple with her Construct to maintain, with theVow of Mineru, Sage of Spirit allowing Link to use her Secret Stone and its connection to hisRight Arm to warp the construct to him.^[2][3] Unlike the otherSage Avatars, Mineru's Construct materializes using the same type of warping as thePurah Pad, and if Link teleports while riding it, it will dematerialize with him in the same manner.

If Link provides fourSage's Wills to aGoddess Statue, he can upgrade the Vow of Mineru to theSolemn Vow of Mineru, Sage of Spirit, which enhances the Construct's attack power. Additionally, if Link wears theZonaite Helm, Mineru's Construct will gain a similar headdress and its eyes will grow green, similarly increasing its attack powers. These two enhancements can stack.

Weapon and Fuse functionality

Mineru's Construct's arms effectively function asTwo-Handed Weapons, with its back part technically being aShield with certain more specific functionality. Mineru's arms deal 27 damage at base, 40 damage if Link has upgraded her vow OR is wearing theZonaite Helm, and 53 damage if both are in effect.Added Effects applied to Link do not affect Mineru's damage output.

MostItems function the same attached to Mineru's Construct asFused to a weapon normally. (Similarly, weapons or shields which have already been Fused cannot be attached.) Due to being classified as Two-Handed Weapons, the damage of Fused attachments displayed in theInventory is actually 95% of its true additional damage.

Zonai Devices

Durability

Mineru's Construct's arms cannot run out ofDurability, but Durability is consumed differently from normal for objects Fused to her Construct.

• Weapons use their base Durability, but it is capped at 15.
• Shields,Bows and otherObjects depend on their material:
  • Wooden objects last 5 hits
  • Stone or stone-like objects last 10 hits
  • Metal objects last 15 hits
• Materials also can vary.
  • "Fragile" materials, e.g. aBird Egg, only last one hit.
  • "Soft" materials, e.g. most ingredients, last 5 hits.
  • "Hard" materials, e.g.Monster Horns, last 10 hits.
• Zonai Devices last for 2000 frames (66.6 seconds at 30 frames per second).
  • Hitting something with a Zonai Device will decrease its remaining frames by 200. This effectively gives them 10 hits if not otherwise used.

Trivia

• In the Japanese version of the game, Mineru's Construct is described as ayorishiro (依り代),^[4] a term from Shinto belief for objects used to house the spirits ofkami.
