Overview
Breath of the Wild
Lurelin Village is a seaside town located at the western end of theFaron Highroad inEast Necluda.[note 1] Many of itsHouses are simple wooden huts, which have been built around thePalm Trees indigenous to the area. The residents also make use of wooden platforms andDocks, one of which is located along a freshwater pond on the western end of the Village. There is also a small pasture within Lurelin Village whereHateno Cows are kept, andYah Rin Shrine can be found on a cliff overlooking the Village.
Lurelin Village subsists itself by catchingFish, which is an industry most of men Village's men participate in.[5] During theGreat Calamity, Lurelin Village avoided being overtaken by theGuardians' assault due to its distance fromHyrule Castle.[6][7] As a result of this, it has gained popularity as a resort location in modern times.[8]
Like other settlements inHyrule, Lurelin Village features aGoddess Statue, which is located west of theFishing Resort. There,Link can exchange fourSpirit Orbs for aHeart Container or aStamina Vessel.[9] ThreeSide Quests are also available at Lurelin Village, those being "Sunken Treasure",[10] "What's for Dinner?",[11] and "Take Back the Sea".[12]
When the "Captured Memories"Main Quest is active and "Find the Fairy Fountain has been completed,Pikango can be found painting in Lurelin Village. When spoken to, Pikango is able to identify the eighthPicture in Link'sAlbum as the cloisters ofHyrule Castle.[13]
Excluding those used in theTreasure-Chest Game, a total of fiveTreasure Chests are hidden in Lurelin Village. The first in a metal Chest south of Yah Rin Shrine that can be found by befriending the localHylian Retriever, and it contains aStar Fragment.[14] The other four Treasure Chests are also made of metal, but they have been submerged in the Village's bay. In all, these Chests contain a bundle of fiveFire Arrows, twoAmbers, and onePurple Rupee.

OneKorok Seed Puzzles can be found within Lurelin Village. It takes the form of anArchery Puzzle, marked by anApple in the Palm Tree aboveRozel andNumar's House on the western end of the Village. When Link shoots the Apple with anArrow, aKorok will appear and give him aKorok Seed.[15]

After a pirate attack, Lurelin Village is badly damaged, forcing its inhabitants to seek refuge elsewhere. Link later drives off the pirates and rebuilds the village withBolson's help.

- The2021 Winter issue of theNintendo Magazine erroneously states that Lurelin Village is in theFaronRegion, while it is actually inEast Necluda.[16]
- Much of the Lurelin Village and its buildings resembleOutset Island fromThe Wind Waker, even having a structure similar toAryll's Lookout. Moreover, the tunes heard in the day and night versions of the town's song resemble the music played inKokiri Forest fromOcarina of Time, which also shares similarities with the soundtrack played in Outset Island.
