Location and Uses
Ocarina of Time
A short blade, suitable for a child. This sword is a treasure of the Kokiri.
InOcarina of Time,Link must obtain the Kokiri Sword beforeMido allows him to visit theGreat Deku Tree. The young hero can find the Kokiri Sword hidden away in aTreasure Chest inside theHole of "L", which is located in theForest Training Center inKokiri Forest. This is the only Sword Link can wield as a child and is also the weakest. It is considered a treasure of theKokiri.[1]
As an adult, it is replaced by theMaster Sword.
Majora's Mask
InMajora's Mask, the Kokiri Sword is the same Kokiri Sword fromOcarina of Time, and is equipped by default at the beginning of the game.[2] It can be upgraded to the temporaryRazor Sword and then again into the permanentGilded Sword by taking it to theMountain Smithy inMountain Village. Although Link begins the game with the Kokiri Sword, he is unable to use it for a time when he is first transformed into aDeku Scrub by theSkull Kid.

In theOcarina of Time manga byAkira Himekawa,Link receives the Kokiri Sword fromMido after they defeatGohma. It is also used to carve aDeku Shield out of theGreat Deku Tree's wood.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
InSuper Smash Bros. Melee, the Kokiri Sword appears in itsOcarina of Time incarnation as the blade wielded byYoung Link.

InHyrule Warriors, the Kokiri Sword appears asYoung Link's mainWeapon as part of theMask archetype. However, Link uses both hands to hold it as it is bigger than before. The Kokiri Sword may be a two-handed weapon as Young Link'sFierce Deity Link form also uses a two-handed blade, and performs similar moves to Young Link.
