Uses and Location

Twilight Princess

Great Fairy's Tears are kept in anEmpty Bottle. They are presumably full of tears that theGreat Fairy has cried while praying.[4] When used, they completely refillLink'sLife Gauge and temporarily double Link's strength. Their function is similar to theElixir Soup fromThe Wind Waker, but unlike the soup, a bottle of these tears only holds one serving and wears off after a short time (16 seconds) or if Link takes damage before then.

One bottle of Great Fairy's Tears is given to Link byJovani after capturing 20Poe Souls. After this, Jovani will reveal that more can be found in theGerudo Desert. This refers to theCave of Ordeals, where Great Fairy's Tears are the reward from theGreat Fairy after completing the cave. Clearing the cave also allows Link to receive a new bottle of Great Fairy's Tears from theSpirits of Light in their springs aroundHyrule.

Link can only acquire Great Fairy's Tears from spirit springs when he has none in his inventory. Completing the Cave of Ordeals again will fill another empty Empty Bottle with Great Fairy's Tears even if Link already has a bottle of it.
