Gerudo Scimitars are one-handedWeapons made by theGerudo. They are commonly wielded by Gerudo women, especially travelers that journey through theGerudo Desert.[1] They belong to theGerudo Gear equipment archetype.[4] People who carry Gerudo Scimitars are often seen carryingGerudo Shields as well. They are common in theGerudo Desert, particularly aroundGerudo Town and theKara Kara Bazaar, as well as in theGerudo Highlands.
Gerudo Scimitars can be found insideGerudo Town. They may also be wielded byEnemies throughout the Gerudo Desert, such asElectric Lizalfos. TheBreath of the Wild SeriesUrbosaamiibo also has a chance to spawn aTreasure Chest containing a Gerudo Scimitar when it is scanned by theamiiboRune. A Gerudo Scimitar is required to remake theScimitar of the Seven, along with five pieces ofFlint and aDiamond.[5]
Due to being made of metal, Gerudo Scimitars will attractLightning if they are equipped during aThunderstorm, and they can also conductElectricity. They will sink if they are dropped inWater, but they can be picked up and manipulated using theMagnesis Rune. In addition, Gerudo Scimitars are unable to burn when exposed toFire or aScorching Climate.
