Emergency Contacts
The numbers below are provided for U.S. citizens who are distressed and require emergency services such as assistance with the death, arrest, illness or welfare of a U.S. citizen. Routine services such as passport renewals, reports of birth abroad, and notarials are NOT considered emergencies and are processed by appointment only.
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY CALL THE EMBASSY TELEPHONE:

NOTE: Time difference between Washington D.C. and Kosovo is + 6 hours.
Send an email to PristinaACS@state.gov with EMERGENCY + (brief description) in the subject line. Please note that this mailbox is monitored during working hours only. For after-hours emergency assistance, please contact the embassy’s switchboard at the number listed above and ask for the after-hours mission duty officer.

If you are a U.S. citizen in Kosovo with an after-hours American Citizen Services emergency, please call +381 38-5959-3000 and ask for the after-hours mission duty officer.
If you are calling from the United States about a U.S. citizen in Kosovo with an emergency, call the Office of Overseas Citizen Services at 1-888-407-4747, toll-free in the United States and Canada, or 1-202-501-4444 from other countries. These numbers are available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday (except U.S. federal holidays).
Emergency questions or notifications about life-or-death urgent U.S. citizen issues should be directed to our office by phone. Please do not send emergency information requiring an immediate response by e-mail.
For issues that arise during business hours, or after-hours issues which are not emergencies, please seeLocal Resources for U.S. Citizens page or contact us Monday – Friday between 9:00 am – 10:00 am. The Consular Section is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except local and U.S.holidays.
