Hello mods!
I'm trying to PM @A Cool User, but I'm not allowed to. Why is this?

Likely because they have PM conversations turned off in their preference settings.

Have you had any contact in the past with this Member? Would he block you for any reason? I was checking his account.
@MikeChannon might be able to put more light on this...

To NOT make it sound like its aimed specifically at@ethical_haquer . See the image of how all users can block contact

i.e. don't take it personally. It's part of the standard configuration of your account on XDA.

I opened XDA this morning, and saw there were multiple notifications (ie quotes & likes). One of the notifications (a love) lead me to a "oops u broke the internet" page, but then when I clicked it again, it lead me to the first post of the thread. huh? yah, I was also confused.

Goes to OP

Works.

I would hazard *GUESS* that maybe the reaction was deleted, but the notification was not? But even then, the URL link is to a post, and its one of my posts, and I didn't delete the post.
I don't see the issue, you can't find the reaction?
I see the Love reaction by@roirraW "edor" ehT fine. He loved your OP.

Ahh.. my bad, I wasn't expecting a reaction to the OP. And I am remembering the first time I clicked on it, I am pretty sure it went to an error page, so every link to the OP after that, threw me. The recent reactions on that thread were for recent posts.

I have noticed a few times in my "Watched Threads" will often go to the OP of the thread, not the last post, when its marked as having new posts. I'll try to catch that next time it happens in the hope to somewhat redeem myself .

A little heads up for the forumhttps://xdaforums.com/f/xiaomi-poco-x7-pro-redmi-turbo-4-pro.12910/
The title should be corrected because the chinese counterpart of the device is redmi turbo 4 and not redmi turbo 4 pro

If I have anooooold dev thread, and I am the creator / OP, and I only reserved about 3 posts when I created it.; Can I get a new blank post inserted at the start by me to edit? I wish to create something like an index to the thread, which would also act liki a FAQ; as in do not ask that question again, its been frequently asked before!
Yes this is possible.

Rather than sending a PM to an individual Moderator, please feel free to ask questions in need of Moderator or Admin assistance. We will all be monitoring this thread, and someone will reply without much delay. In order to hopefully address some of the possible questions, please review the following points which frequently come up:

If you are not a moderator or admin on the forums, please do NOT respond to any posts in the thread. This includes the incredibly tempting.
Given the overall size of XDA and potential ramifications, we need to ensure that only people authorized to speak on our behalf do so. Please, and thank you in advance.

This thread hereby replaces(requests) From the Users to the Mods & Admins, which has been closed and archived. There will be zero tolerance for off topic posting in here. Regardless of forum reputation, warnings and/or infractions will be issued to anyone disregarding such a simple request. There will also be no flaming of members posting in here. Report it, and move along.

Last 3-4 of my 6 post reports have been dismissed without even getting "review"ed (I checked back the post by clicking on "report post" button and it doesnt even show "this post has been reported" notice). What could be reason to this? I want to think that it is not personal...

They were reviewed. Sometimes moderators take no action, as they think that none is required. It's not personal, don't worry about it:)

Hello and thank you for the forum! I can't add to My Devices that I have a Xiaomi Redmi 4A. A bug in the forum software?

I am unable to private message anyone on xda website, only the option to send by email.

    What do you mean?

What way are you trying to send a Private message?

You can go to yourPM Inbox and New Private Message, and send a PM to anyone.

But if you click on someone's username in the forums, and you don't see the Private Message option, that person has disabled allowing other members to send them a PM.
