About the Event
Explore creativity in action as members of the Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists (KWSA) bring the library to life with live artmaking throughout the space. Watch artists at work using a variety of mediums, chat with them about their process, and contribute to a collaborative community art piece. This is a drop-in event where you can wander at your own pace and experience art as it happens!

Calling all the perfectionists, self-critics, and the creatively ‘untalented’ - this one’s for you! In this stress-free, judgement-free program, we'll let go of the pressure to make ‘good art’ and focus on enjoying the process. No experience or artistic ability required. Come as you are and let’s make some imperfect art together!

Join us for a lively discussion with award-winning writer Terry Fallis. Terry will talk about and read from his most recent novel,The Marionette, which introduces readers to a new hero: James Norval, a world-famous thriller writer whose life takes an unexpected turn from the pages of his novels into the perilous world of espionage.
Bird Walk at RIM Park
About the Program
Join David Gascoigne from Waterloo Region Nature as he leads the group on a fall bird walk along the trails at RIM Park. Enjoy the fall colours and take the opportunity to learn and observe the birds native to our area. Bring your own binoculars for an optimal experience or request a pair to borrow.

WPL staff will lead a discussion on the book and highlight titles from the Giller Prize longlist and shortlist, along with some Canadian picks from recent literary award seasons. Share your favourite CanLit books or authors, or just listen and discover new titles to add to your reading list.
