Booking a Computer
You will need a valid Waterloo Public Library card to book a public computer. Reservations can be made online up to one day in advance or you can log in to a free computer when you arrive at one of our locations. View WPL’s Internet and Computer Use Policy for more information.

Check Out the Gamerspace
The Gamerspace contains eight public access computers. Among these, there is one iMac computer loaded with Adobe Suite, while the remaining computers feature cutting-edge enhancements designed to ensure seamless gaming. Whether you’re into gaming, web browsing, or research, the Gamerspace warmly welcomes all to reserve a computer.
Looking for WiFi, Printing or Photocopying?
All WPL locations provide WiFi, printing and photocopiers. Internet hotspots can also be borrowed with your library card.
Book a Photo Scanner
Turn your old photos into digital files with our PC photo scanners. We have two scanners available, one at the Main Library and one at the John M. Harper Branch. You will need a library card to book a PC photo scanner.

The ST ViewScan II Microfilm Scanner is available for use at the Main Library. Our microfilm collection includes the Canada West Census, Berliner Journal, Waterloo Region Record and Waterloo Chronicle. Staff can assist you with browsing, printing and saving digital copies of the microfilm. This service is free to use with your library card.

Available at our Main Library, convert your old VHS tapes to DVD or media files with our VHS converter. We recommend bringing a USB drive to save your converted files. This service is free to use with your library card.
