HAMPSHIRE CHRONICLE MONDAY AT SEVEN. NOW, THIS IS A COOL LITTLE STORY. AND OUT OF THE WORLD OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AT BARNSTEAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. A TREE THAT ONCE TOOK A TRIP AROUND THE MOON IS NOW GROWING OUTSIDE THE SCHOOL, THANKS TO A FOURTH GRADE TEACHER WITH A LOVE OF SPACE. BRITTANY SULLIVAN AND HER FOURTH GRADE CLASS PLANTED THE MOON TREE FRIDAY BACK IN 2022, NASA SENT THE TREE SEEDS UP TO THE ARTEMIS ONE MISSION, WHERE THEY ORBITED THE MOON SEVERAL TIMES MORE THAN 2000 PEOPLE APPLIED TO RECEIVE ONE OF THE TREES, AND SULLIVAN WAS CHOSEN. IT IS NOW THE ONLY MOON TREE IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. IT’S DEFINITELY AN INTERESTING STEP TO KNOW THAT TREES AND OTHER PLANTS CAN START TO GERMINATE AND START THAT WHOLE PROCESS IN SPACE, WHICH IS AMAZING FOR FUTURE SCIENTIFIC DEVELOPMENT. AS PEOPLE LOOK TOWARDS THE MOON, MARS AND BEYOND JUST AMAZING. THE CLASS HAS NICKNAMED THE TREE ARDI IN HONOR OF THE ARTEMIS ONE MISSION. THE TREE HAS A LIFE EXPECTANCY
