A New Way to Pay
You can now pay for Metrorail and Metrobus by tapping your contactless credit or debit card at the faregate or farebox.
SmarTrip cards will still be accepted.
Winter 2025 Major Construction
Green Line impacts: Dec. 16-30, Metrorail will single track between Georgia Av-Petworth, Columbia Heights, and U Street stations.
During this project, crews will complete infrastructure repairs and planned upgrades to improve the customer experience.
