Biography

Benjamin Sturges bapt 5 Feb 1709/10, son of Joseph & Mary (Hill) Sturges. Benjamin married Elizabeth Barlow, dau of Samuel Barlow.

He was known as "Jr." to distinguish him from his cousin Benjamin (B.1694)

Benjamin's will dated 7 Apr 1760, proved 23 Apr 1760 mentions 7 children: Seth, James, Thaddeus, Hill, Elizabeth, Mary, Jean; brother-in-law Thomas Staples.^[1]

His inventory was recorded on 11 February 1762.^[2]

The distribution of his real estate was recorded on 23 March 1762 and divided between his children, Seth, James, Thaddeus, Jean, Mary, and Elizabeth.^[3]
