Biography
David was born on 11 October 1826 in Terrington, Yorkshire, England. He was the son ofJames Stephenson andMary (Wright) Stephenson.[1] David was baptised on 30 October 1826 in Gilling Near Helmsley, Yorkshire, England.
Immigration: 18 May 1848 in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Note: He arrived on the Fergus from Hull, Yorkshire, Canada, a seven week and three day journey. Passage for all aboard was paid from Parish funds. From there he went on to Toronto where he spent 4 months and then moved to New London, Henry County, Iowa.5,6 He was a member of the Masons joining in 1849 at New London, Henry, IO.[2][3]
Naturalization as a Citizen: 1855 in Henry, Iowa.[4]
In 1855 David (age about 28) was living in abt Cannon City, Rice, MN.[5]
In 1865 David (age about 38) was living in Pope County, MN.[6][7]
David died at the age of 90 on 25 December 1916 in Grove Lake, Pope, MN.[8]
David was buried on 29 December 1916 in Grove Lake Cemetery, Grove Lake, Pope, MN.
