I sent you a check-in message several days ago about the 1776 Project to ask you about your past and continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project?

If I don’t hear from you in a week or so, I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things, but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of theproject teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project'sGoogle Group for project communications.

If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment orsend me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.

There are category links to add to your ancestor's profiles and research links to learn more about your family. The Project is a good way to consolidate the WikiTree ancestors with historic connections to the years of 1773 (Boston Tea Party) to 1789 (ratification of the U.S. Constitution.) All patriot, loyalist, Hessians, French, Native Americans or any other profiles with a connection to these years should be linked to an appropriate category in the Project.

If you haven’t already, please set your preferences for your Tags Followed to include 1776 Project and any other tag terms that you wish to follow:http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following

Some categories have a template (SAR) to add at the top of a biography. If not, add a category link by putting the category name such asTemplate:1776 for those who bore arms in the Revolution andTemplate:1776 for those who contributed patriotic or civil service. Thank you.

The initial email from us has helpful links that get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to Volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.
