Albertha (Matthews) Pickney is a part of US Black heritage.

Albertha Matthews was born on January 17, 1926 in Louisiana, United States, daughter ofHorace Matthews (1900–1973) andMary Trahan (~1904–1980).^[1]

Her siblings were:

• Dorothy Mathews (~1923– )
• Aaron Matthews (1924–2013)
• Hilda Matthew (~1935–~2005)

Albertha died on February 4, 1979, aged 53. She is commemorated at Johnson Memorial Park Cemetery, Groves, Jefferson County, Texas.^[1]
