Biography

The son ofTimothy Hurlbut andSarah Clark, Timothy Hurlbut was born 12 Aug 1758 in Wethersfield, Connecticut.^[1][2]

He marriedMary (Robbins) Hurlbut, the daughter of Joshua Robbins and Elizabeth Mary Hubbard, marrying in Pittsfield Township, Massachusetts on March 7, 1784, and having fourteen known children together.^[3] They made their home in Pittsfield Township, Massachusetts.^[4]

Widowed in 1809, Timothy married his second wifeOlive (Caldwell) Hurlbut, on March 3, 1811^[5][6]

They lived in Pittsfield Township,^[7][8] where Timothy passed away on 23 Jul 1838 at the age of 80 years.^[9][10] Timothy is buried at Pittsfield Cemetery,^[11] as are both of his wives.^[12][13]

Name variations within the family include Hurlbut, Hurlbert, and Hurlburt; a misspelling of Hulbert also shows up occasionally.
