Biography

John, son of Wolstan Francis and Mary Marianne Francis, was born on 2 August 1888 and baptised on 18 September 1888 in Bodmin, Cornwall, England.^[1][2]

In 1891, John (age 2) lived with his parents in Bodmin.^[3]

In 1901, John (age 12) was a boarder in Eastbourne, Sussex, England.^[4]

In 1911, John (age 22) lived in Surrey, England.^[5]

In 1939, John (age 51), a land owner, lived with his wife in Chesterton, Cambridgeshire, England.^[6]

Lt. Col. John Clement Wolstan FRANCIS M.B.E. D.L died on the 20th of June 1978 and was buried in St Mary's Churchyard, Stow Cum Quy, Cambridgeshire. His estate passed probate on 26 October 1978 in Ipswich.^[7]

He served with 15th/19th Hussars.
