Descendants of Bill Desjardin

Biography
Bill is a California native. He was born and raised in northern California and spent many years living in the San Francisco Bay Area working in the semiconductor and computer industries. He and his wife of 55 years (as of 2018) currently live in a small community in the northern California Sierra Nevada mountains.
Bill caught the genealogy bug in about 2004, after going to a Scottish Games event in Pleasanton, California and finding a clan tent for the Davidson Clan. Until that time he only thought of himself as having French ancestry. After the Davidson Clan encounter he immediately took an interest in genealogical research of his possible Scottish ancestry. Alas, the tie back to Scotland has not yet been established.
Bill utilizes the Reunion genealogy software on a Macintosh for his primary research tool. He also has a copy of his research on a personal web site[1]. Those interested in Bill's research may visit that web site and login with the user name and password of "guest". Bill intends to migrate all of his information to WikiTree as he gets it more refined and sourced. The web site is still a work in progress.

ProfileChristian John (Hofelich Haverly) Haverly (1712-1769) (one that you adopted as an orphan) has an incorrect LNAB. His last name could be "Hofelich" or "Haverly" (variant spellings of the same name, it seems) but not "Hofelich Haverly". I'm inclined to think that his LNAB was a Germany spelling like Höflich, Hoeflich or Hofelich, and that the anglicized Haverly was his later name ("Current Last Name" in WikiTree data field). I made "Haverly" his Current Last Name, but the LNAB is still incorrect.
Do you have any records or insights regarding his actual birth name?
