Biography

John was born in Amesbury on May 4, 1689^[1] and died in Biddeford on May 12, 1752.^[1] He married Elizabeth Basford on August 2, 1711 in Hampton, who died sometime between 1762 and 1772.Their children:^[2]

• Jacob, b 26 Aug 1712 in Hampton
• Sarah, m about 1731 in Biddeford to Benjamin Parker
• Elizabeth, b about 1717, m about 1736 in Biddeford to John Patterson. Gravestone in Saco shows died Nov 18, 1772, age 55.
• Ezra, b 20 Feb 1719 in Biddeford
• Hepsibah, b 4 June 1721m about 1737 in Biddeford to David Sawyer
• John, b 1 Sep 1723
• Mary, m 22 Nov 1743 in Biddeford to Andrew Stackpole, m about 1768 to Stephen Jones
• Josiah
• Margaret, m 23 Feb 1750 in Biddeford to Timothy Davis
