Biography
Born approximately 1535 in London, Margaret Compagni was the illegitimate daughter ofBartolomeo Compagni, an expatriate merchant from Florence, Tuscany.
She married first,Lazarus Allen, the second son of SirJohn Allen, twice Lord Mayor of London who died approximately 1557.
She married second, in 1558 Giovanni Baptista Castiglione, also known as John Baptiste Castillion, who was Groom of the Privy Chamber to Queen Elizabeth I. He died in 1598.
Her will was dated 22 June 1621 and was proved 2 Nov.1622. She died atSpeen, Berkshire in 1622.[1]
