I’ve provided others with access to my account via Third Party. Can they see my PayTo agreements?

Depending on the type of access you’ve provided, users with Third Party Access Authority and other permissions may be able to view and manage your PayTo agreements on your behalf.

Go to ‘Account Activity’ and select ‘Third Party Access’ in Westpac Online Banking, or, if you’re a Network Administrator or have provided Shared Access to your account, go to User Administration, to check permissions on your account.

  • Third Party Authority Access to an individual (‘Value access’/’View and make payments’): Those with third party (value) access to your account will be able toview and manage your PayTo agreements in their Online Banking, just as they can access other features in your account, like making payments. They’ll also be notified when a PayTo agreement requires authorisation, when changes are made,  and when there is an issue with a PayTo payment.
    • On-share Access:if you have given On-share Access authority to your third parties with value access, they’ll be able to share your account with current and future users of their Personal Network. These users may be able to view and manage your PayTo agreements and may be notified when changes are made.

  • Third Party Authority Access to an organisation (‘Value access’/’View and make payments’):the Network Administrator for the Business Network will need to turn on the PayTo feature in their Online Banking and add the PayTo entitlements to your account for the relevant Network users who’ll then be able to see and manage your PayTo agreements and receive notifications about them.

  • Third Party Authority Access – business or individual (‘Non-value access’/’View only’): If you’ve given a third party access but it is non-value access, these Third Party users will be able to view your account details and transaction list (which will include PayTo payments) but won’t be able to view or manage your PayTo agreements or receive any notifications about them.
    • On-share Access:if you’ve given On-share Access authority to your third parties with non-value access, they’ll be able to share your account with users of their Personal Network – and these users will be able to view your account details and transaction list but are not able to view or manage your PayTo agreements or receive notifications about them.

We recommend regularly reviewing who you’ve provided access to your account to ensure permissions are up-to date:

  • Third Party access:You can check what access you’ve provided to third parties in Online Banking via your PC. Go to the relevant Account, underAccount activity, selectThird party access.
  • Networks:check your Users in theUser administration section of your Online Banking
