Can I activate my card on mobile if I don’t have the app?

Yes, you can still activate your card on mobile by following the steps below.  You won’t be able to access the camera feature without downloading v6.5 or above of the mobile app.

Step 1: Go to westpac.com.au/activate on your mobile phone browser then tap Activate

Step 2: Sign in 

Step 3: Enter your card details using your smartphone keyboard

Step 4: Tap Activate

Activating a physical business debit or credit card?​

If you’re a business customer, you’ll need to be in your personal profile to activate your physical card online.

Existing customer

Sign into online banking to activate.
You’ll need your card details, customer ID and password.

Not registered for Online Banking?

Call to activate your card.

New customer

You need to register for online banking first.
Once signed in, click 'Services & preferences' and 'Activate card'.
