Five Eagles depart the nest

The West Coast Eagles have confirmed five list changes following the 2023 season

ByGary Stocks

The West Coast Eagles have today advised five players that they will not be offered contract extensions into 2024.

The club has informed midfielders Xavier O’Neill, Greg Clark and Connor West, forward Isiah Winder and utility player Samo Petrevski-Seton that their time at the club has been completed.

O’Neill, drafted with pick 28 in 2018, played 39 games while Clark played 21 games in the last two seasons after being recruited with the club’s final draft selection (#62) in 2021.

West, the son of former player Robbie, arrived via the 2021 mid-season rookie draft and played 28 games.

Petrevski-Seton arrived at the Eagles courtesy of a trade from Carlton at the end of 2021 and played 27 games while Winder, pick 57 in the 2020 draft, played seven games at senior level.

"On behalf of the club I would like to thank each of the players for their contributions during their varying times at the club," General Manager Football Gavin Bell said.

"They have each left an impression on the club and we wish them every success in their future endeavours."
