This collaboration harnesses the research and knowledge of universities across the globe, providing the robust evidence base on which policy and action can be founded. Our planet is at a critical point and the time to act is now.

Macquarie University is proud to announce our membership in the IUCA. Through research, education and advocacy, we strive to shape a world where every decision reflects our responsibility to safeguard the planet for generations to come.

Queen’s is proud to join the Alliance. As a university, we are committed to finding solutions to the world’s greatest challenges, climate change is a global problem with which we need to engage both collectively and individually. We look forward to working with fellow members of this global alliance on this, probably the major, issue of our time.

Western Sydney University is proud to join the International Universities Climate Alliance. We are  deeply committed to embedding sustainability across all aspects of our work, be it curriculum, operations, research, or engagement. We understand that addressing climate challenge requires collaboration with industry, community, and government partners, and we are dedicated to not only researching climate solutions but also implementing them in our daily operations.

With the international partners in the Climate Alliance consortium we have the opportunity to further develop cross-subject offers for students on the causes, consequences and handling of climate change.

The universities in the Alliance are training the next generation of climate researchers. This global Alliance will provide support, collaboration, and development of these researchers that crosses boarders. Climate change is a global issue and collectively we will produce our future climate leaders.

New York University is proud to be a founding member of the Climate Alliance. As one of the world’s premier research universities — with academic centers on six continents — NYU stands ready to contribute our unique expertise and perspective to this important collaboration, and to work together to develop innovative solutions to climate change.

As a prestigious university with a 100 year-long history, our University covers almost all subjects of climate change research from natural to social science. We are pleased to join the Alliance as a foundation member, and to contribute to global climate change mitigation and adaptation.

The global will to act on climate change is strong but the pace of action has been far too slow. The Alliance aims to accelerate the global response by being a leading voice for scientifically based mitigation and adaptation strategies.

Universities have a responsibility to serve the global community, to help it meet the most complex challenges facing humanity. My hope is that this Alliance, by bringing together the best minds in the world, will find a way to stem the existential threat of climate change.

We aim to bring the African climate change challenge to the global purview along with our dedication to teaching, research and capacity-building of professionals. We welcome the opportunity to work and partner across the globe through the Climate Alliance and bring our unique experiences to bear on climate change.
