The Power of Five

The Five College Consortium fosters academic excellence through resources, joint departments, and inter-campus collaboration. Through the consortium, students at UMass Amherst have access to a broader array of courses, academic resources, facilities, and libraries, as well as research, performance, and social opportunities across five campuses within the Connecticut River valley including Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith colleges. From Community College to the UMass Community

Through the MassTransfer program, you can complete an approved associate degree at a Massachusetts community college and then seamlessly transfer to UMass into a related bachelor’s degree. With individualized advising and help with transfer preparation, we empower you to make the leap toward the next phase of your life.
