White Oak Creek (Red River County)
White Oak Creek rises four miles west of Avery in eastern Red River County (at 33°34' N, 94°51' W) and runs southwest for eight miles to its mouth on Kickapoo Creek, 3½ miles northwest of Boxelder (at 33°29' N, 94°56' W). The soils in the area are frequently flooded clayey and loamy bottomlands. The area around the creek is for the most part heavily wooded, with post and blackjack oaks predominating.
