Argos Black Friday sale - quick links

My top 5 picks from the Amazon Black Friday sale I'd consider buying right away

Amazon Kindle
Amazon Kindle:was £94.99now £69.99at Argos
Read moreRead less

The latest version of the standard Kindle is on sale for a record-low price at Argos today. It's a basic ereader, but it still boasts a four-week battery life and space for thousands of books. Given it's £60 cheaper than the Paperwhite, this is clearly a better pick for the infrequent reader who's after a more budget-friendly option. At under £70, this Black Friday deal is a new record-low price for the ereader, but far from the bigger discounts I've seen in previous years.

Apple's best-selling AirPods Pro 2 sound excellent, offer top-tier noise cancellation, feature Dolby Atmos spatial audio, which is amazing for movies. I'd snap these up if I didn't already have a pari of AirPods Pro.

Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle
Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle:was £429.99now £409.99at Argos

OK, it's not a huge discount, but it's still one of the first price cuts I've seen on the Nintendo Switch 2. Given that the console usually costs around £395 by itself, you're effectively getting a copy of Mario Kart World bundled in for just £14 – that's a huge steal. I don't anticipate the deals will be any better than this as we get into the depths of Black Friday, and there could be stock issues come November, so I think this is a great time to buy ahead of the mad rush.

Ninja Foodi AF200UK 4-in-1 air fryer
Ninja Foodi AF200UK 4-in-1 air fryer:was £119.99now £99.99at Argos

This Ninja air fryer is the little brother of one of our favourite models, so it's an easy recommendation if you're looking for a decent air fryer without spending too big. This decently-sized  7.6L capacity model comes with two separate trays, sync functions, and two separate modes for both air frying and roasting. This particular model is big enough for 5-6 portions and more than enough to provide happy frying for plenty of years to come.

Google Pixel 9a
Google Pixel 9a:was £449now £349at Argos

One of the best prices I've seen for the Google Pixel 9a in the UK. Given it's still a fairly new phone with a host of smart software and updates that should last for a year, this deal is hard to beat in the phone arena. I'd go so far as to say this would be the Android phone I'd recommend to most people, particularly with some £150 sliced off the price.

This updated Sonos Era 100 recently knocked the classic Sonos One off the top spot to become our favourite wireless speaker. It offers terrific audio quality for its small size with a rich soundscape and strong bass. It's also versatile so you can connect to it via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or an aux cable and fire music to it from multiple streaming services. The hefty starting price was the only off-putting factor in ourSonos Era 100 review.

Another sales event, another chance for me to shout out an offer on an excellent and affordable vacuum cleaner that we awarded 4.5 stars out of five in ourShark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner review. I can't praise these vacuums enough for the Anti-Hair Wrap tech that has saved me so much time unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum. Flexology tech makes it a good option for reaching under furniture and this upgraded Stratos version boasts anti-odour tech and CleanSense IQ that automatically adjusts suction power to tackle tougher areas of dirt. On top of all that, battery life is an impressive 50 minutes.

The Ninja Blast Portable Blender is Ninja's best-selling personal-sized blender for smoothies, slushies, and shakes. Its convenient, grab-and-go design stood out to our reviewer, who gave it four out of five stars. This handy kitchen gadget has been a little cheaper than this in the past, but today's offer is still decent if you don't want to wait for potential further price cuts later this month.

The latest wireless Ring Doorbell has been discounted for only the second time this year, with Argos slashing £40 from its starting price. We've tested more advanced versions and have been impressed with the video quality and night vision colour, but it's a shame that some of this device's value is usable exclusively with a Ring Protect subscription. However, if you're fine with paying for a subscription or already using a Ring-based home security system, it'll be worth the cost.

This is an older MacBook Air (it's two generations older, in fact), but it's still a decent buy. The M2 chipset in this machine will still hold up great for the basics, and should last a few good years down the line, too. The downside with this particular model is its slightly dated design, with thicker display bezels versus the later iterations. Naturally I have some tips on how to get the most of out the Black Friday sales, so check out my article:I'm seasoned bargain hunter and these are my tips and tricks to save money this Black Friday.

I can speak from experience when it comes to deals holding out, as I once missed a great price on an OLED TV just because I was hoping it would drop further in price. Instead it jumoed up a bit, I still got a solid deal but my hesitance cost me.

So my professional advice is to snap up a good deal as soon as you see it rather than hold out for Black Friday proper.

But deals from all manner of retailers across the world are already live, and that's true for Argos as it is for the likes of John Lewis and others.

Of course, Black Friday proper is still a day and a bit away. It's officially takes place on November 28.

But I also think there are good delas to be had on TVs, though these have to compete against some of thebest ones Currys has to offer this Black Friday.

Usually you can score some great deals on appliances, especially those from brands like Dyson and Ninja.

Argos isn't always the first place I think of as a bastion of thebest Black Friday sales. But it's low-key got some solid bargains.

So Agros... it's a funny place to shop in person, which is why its great there are all these deals available online.
