
The Governing Body is comprised of the TCS Board of Governors and the TCS Body of Trustees. The role of the board of governors is to act as a steward of the mission of the Corporation of Trinity College School and to be responsible for overseeing the School’s strategic direction in this regard. The board of governors is the primary policy-making body for the School.
The body of trustees provides advice to the board of governors and head of school as to the achievement of the School’s mission.
Gordon graduated from Trinity College School in 1983 as the head prefect in Angus Scott’s last year as headmaster. He attended Wilfrid Laurier University and completed a B.A. in economics with minors in psychology and computer science. Upon graduation, he worked overseas in Finland, Brussels and Singapore for several years. Gordon recently retired after a 36-year career in technology and executive program management in the banking, retail, telecommunications and healthcare industries.
Upon returning to Canada, he was one of the School’s first “young governors” in the early 1990s, supporting the introduction of information technology and the internet, and the transition to co-education, serving on the then committee of convocation. Gordon maintains a lifelong interest in and support of the School, its staff and its programs. He has been a member of the TCS infrastructure committee since 2015.
Gordon and his wife Stephanie reside in Caledon, Ontario, where they volunteer and pursue other interests while enjoying the many recreational activities of the area.
Gordon’s second son, Andrew, was the third generation of Boughners to attend TCS and was a head prefect for the class of 2016. Gordon’s father, Bill, is in the class of 1956, and his late uncle, Peter, was in the class of 1959.
Bonnie holds an LL.M. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and an M.B.A. from the Richard Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Bonnie also has a directors designation from the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and an ICD designation (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Bonnie has more than 25 years of experience in the family office environment. She sits as director and trustee of companies both domestically and internationally, focusing on corporate governance, strategy and risk management.
Bonnie is an active supporter of the SickKids Foundation. She collaborated with the SickKids Foundation’s executives in the fundraising and planning for the Hospital for Sick Children’s Caribbean initiative, which targeted improving the health care of children suffering from blood-based disorders and cancers in the Caribbean region, including the Bahamas. This also included collaborating with the University of the West Indies. Bonnie presently sits on the Family Advisory Committee at SickKids.
She has also collaborated in studies with the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) in the role of a patient advocate, having received credit for authorship in the study “Guideline for the Management of Fever and Neutropenia in Children with Cancer and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Recipients.”
Bonnie lives with her husband Errol, and they currently split their time between Toronto and Nassau, Bahamas. Bonnie and Errol are proud parents of TCS alumni Hailey Davis ’13 and Marcus Davis ’18.
Glenn graduated from Trinity College School in 1992. He obtained a B.Sc. in business administration from Babson College (1996), a double major in finance and economics, and an M.B.A. from McGill University (2000).
Glenn worked for BMO Capital Markets for 15 years, eventually becoming the global head of fertilizer, metals, and mining. He then went on to work for Raymond James Canada as the head of one of the industry coverage teams in investment banking until 2020. Today, Glenn is a partner at Toronto-based Argyle Capital Partners, a leading mid-market private equity firm.
Glenn currently sits on the TCS finance committee and the TCS Board of Governors. He is the treasurer of the Blue Mountains Chamber of Commerce and also sits on the board for a TSX-V listed company and three of Argyle’s portfolio companies.
Glenn lives in the Blue Mountains, Ontario, with his wife, Isabelle, and children, James and Emma.
Edan graduated from Trinity College School in 1994. He obtained an honours degree in English literature from Queen’s University (1998) and a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto (2001).
Edan worked for a prominent Toronto law firm before going in-house at one of the bank-owned broker dealers. He went on to serve as the head of Scotiabank’s international investment advisory business. Today, he is the president and a registered portfolio manager at a Toronto-based firm specializing in meeting the wealth management needs of global families whose interests cross borders.
Edan is the chair of the School’s philanthropy & alumni committee on which he has served since 2002.
He has three siblings, all TCS graduates: Trent ’96, Casey ’98 and Bethany ’01. His father, Walter, is a trustee of the School, and his sons, Jackson ’24 graduated this year, and Emmet ’26 is a current student. His nephew Gabriel ’28 begins his TCS career in September 2024.
Bill graduated from Trinity College School in 1983 and went on to complete his H.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Ivey Business School at Western University.
Bill has worked for IG Wealth for over 30 years in a variety of roles including investment advisor, regional director and senior vice president, distribution. Today Bill spends his time supporting advisors in Durham Region, inspiring them to provide the best outcomes for Canadian families. He has also served as the business lead on several strategic initiatives in the transformation of IG into the premier financial planning firm in Canada.
Bill lives in Whitby with his wife Nikki and daughters Kaitie ’11 and Abbie ’15.
Mike is a principal with StepStone Group, a global private markets investment manager. In Mike’s role, he oversees the North American asset management of their clients’ infrastructure investments as well as represents several board positions pertaining to these assets. Mike is a financial services professional who has over 20 years of experience in progressively senior infrastructure and private equity roles.
Mike started his career at KPMG LLP and holds a Chartered Accountant designation, as well as a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Western Ontario.
He has been involved with TCS for over 15 years as both a member of the School’s finance committee, which he currently chairs, as well as a long-standing member of the TCS Board of Governors.
Mike lives in Toronto with his wife and their very dynamic twin daughters.
Katherine graduated from Trinity College School in 2002 where she was actively involved in all aspects of student life including playing on various sports teams and volunteering as a peer mentor.
In 2006, Katherine graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Science in biology and concentration in commerce. She went on to obtain her Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA, CA) in 2010 while working at KPMG.
Katherine’s professional experience has been focused in operations and finance. Her most recent roles have been as vice president of operations at Canadian mental health company, Inkblot Therapy, and director of integration and transformation at GreenShield. Previously, Katherine worked as a management consultant in KPMG’s healthcare practice where she led strategic planning, operational improvement and cost savings initiatives for hospitals and ministries of health both in Canada and the U.K.
Katherine is a member of the TCS finance committee and has supported the organization of many alumni events. She has two siblings who are also TCS graduates: Rachelle ’09 and Malcolm ’17.
Katherine lives in Toronto with her husband Craig and their children, Eloise and Lachlan.
Jennifer has over 20 years of global experience in the building materials industry, having worked for global leaders including Holcim-Lafarge, Westlake, and Masonite International. Throughout her career, she has held executive leadership positions, including country manager, VP of strategy, and director of marketing, innovation-research and development. Jennifer’s professional journey has included roles in Canada and the United States, as well as expatriate roles in Germany, France, South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently, she served as the vice president of strategy and business development for Masonite International’s commercial door division in North America. Within Masonite, Jennifer actively participated in the risk management committee, information technology committee, sustainability committee, and led the working group on diversity, equity and inclusion for employees with disabilities.
Jennifer, the daughter of TCS alumnus John McGill (Class of ’50), herself graduated from Branksome Hall in 1988. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations and French from the University of Toronto (Victoria College ’92) and an M.B.A. from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto (class of ’00).
Since 2020, Jennifer has been a member of the infrastructure committee at TCS, contributing to two sub-committees focused on sustainability and the campus master plan. Additionally, she has served on the boards of non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity Northumberland and VOICE for Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Children. Jennifer has also been actively involved as a committee member for Habitat GTA and Northumberland for Ukraine Families. Currently, she holds the position of fundraising chair for the Northumberland Youth Wellness Hub in Ontario.
During her leisure time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, skiing, golfing, practicing yoga and educating women on wine appreciation. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Burgundy Wine.
Jennifer resides in Port Hope with her sons, Nicolas Canu ’25 and William Canu ’26.
Tory graduated from Trinity College School in 1999 before attending Western University, earning a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering. She later completed a Master of Business Administration at Western’s Ivey Business School.
Tory has built a dynamic career in the construction and infrastructure sector, holding leadership roles across mechanical, electrical works, capital planning, marketing, procurement, emerging markets, energy and digital services, as well as furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Her experience includes leading profit-and-loss operations, managing multidisciplinary teams, and delivering complex projects across the healthcare, judicial, residential, recreational, and educational sectors. While she has worked under a range of delivery models, her career has largely focused on design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) projects.
She is an active member and chair of the TCS’s infrastructure committee, and has contributed to major initiatives such as Cirne Hall, the Arnold Massey ’55 Athletic Centre, and the TCS Renaissance Plan during her tenure.
Tory lives in Georgetown, Ontario, with her husband, Glenn, and their two children, William and Vimy. As a family, they enjoy skiing at Craigleith Ski Club in the winter and playing tennis and golf during the “off-season.”
Justin graduated from Trinity College School in 2012 after two formative years that sparked his interest in business. He went on to complete his Honours in Business Administration (H.B.A.) at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University in 2017.
Following his studies, Justin began his career in private equity at XPND Capital, a Montreal-based investment firm, and later joined Ernst & Young’s strategy and transactions team in Montreal, where he advised clients on mergers and acquisitions. Most recently, he worked as an associate in corporate finance at Power Corporation of Canada, a diversified international management and holding company.
An active volunteer, Justin has contributed to several organizations, including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Young Philanthropists’ Circle, where he served on the executive committee from 2019 to 2023. He is also a long-standing member of the alumni association at Collège Jean-Eudes in Montreal. In 2021, Justin joined the TCS finance committee as a way of giving back to the School. He is also actively involved with the Little Brothers Foundation, serving on its isolation breaker committee, which supports initiatives to alleviate loneliness among the elderly.
Justin lives in Montréal, Québec, and remains closely connected to the TCS community through his committee work and alumni involvement.
Lola has been involved with governance at Trinity College School since 2020. Initially a member of the board’s governance committee, she is now a member of the TCS Board of Governors.
Presently the vice president people, culture and organizational effectiveness at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Lola is also an adjunct professor in Queen’s University IRC.
Currently undertaking a Global Executive M.B.A. for healthcare and the life sciences (G.E.M.B..A.-H.L.S.) with University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Lola also holds a B.Sc. (honours) in economics & statistics and an M.Sc. in human resources management. She is a certified human resources executive (C.H.R.E.) with the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario, a certified associate in project management (C.A.P.M.) with the Project Management Institute, and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in England.
Lola calls Cobourg home, where she lives with her husband, Jude, a family physician, and their two wonderful children, Oshio ’29 and Hannah ’26, a newly appointed school prefect. Lola is a devout Christian and loves travelling, a good show, having a laugh and most of all, family time.
Doug graduated from Trinity College School in 1981 after seven years as a TCS student. Following graduation, Doug attended the University of Toronto (B.A. (Hons.) 1986) and Queen’s University (L.L.B. 1989).
Doug is a lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, a leading Canadian law firm with more than 950 lawyers in 10 offices across Canada, the U.K. and South Africa. In addition to his M&A work, Doug provides strategic advice to public and private companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial law matters in numerous industries, including those in the life sciences, wealth management, technology, resource, real estate and manufacturing sectors. With more than 30 years of experience, Doug is a Lexpert-ranked lawyer and was previously designated as one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers.
Doug lives in Toronto with his wife and three children.
Douglas attended Trinity College School for four years, graduating in the class of 2009. In his final year, he was head of Brent House and a co-captain of Bigside football. He has served on the School’s philanthropy & alumni committee since 2016.
Douglas is currently a vice president at McCain Capital Partners, a mid-market private equity fund based in Toronto. As a member of the MCP team, Douglas is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including origination, due diligence and transaction execution for new investment opportunities, as well as monitoring and value creation for the fund’s portfolio companies.
Prior to joining McCain Capital Partners, Douglas spent three years on the investment team at Fengate Asset Management, where he was involved in sourcing and executing transactions across a wide range of asset classes in the infrastructure space. Douglas began his career at Deloitte LLP, where he was a member of the firm’s financial advisory practice and earned his CPA, CA designation.
Douglas holds an H.B.A. degree (Dean’s Honour List) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
Cam Snaith is the co-founder and CEO of Bleeker, a certified B Corp helping leaders create workplaces of the future. In Bleeker’s early years, Cam moonlighted as a research affiliate with the MIT Media Lab’s Social Computing group. Before Bleeker, Cam was a marketing executive at PepsiCo and the National Basketball Association and the founder of an arts-based non-profit.
Cam was born in Bermuda and received his M.S. in strategic communication from Columbia University, and an A.B. in English from Princeton University.
He currently lives in Montclair, New Jersey, with his wife Lorissa, 13-year-old son Dexter, and 11-year-old daughter Jaeger.
Douglas graduated from Trinity College School in 1993. Instead of returning to Barbados, Douglas continued his schooling in Ontario after TCS, ultimately leading to an L.L.B. from Queen’s University in 2003.
Douglas moved to Toronto in 2003 to start his practice at Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (now Dentons Canada LLP) as a civil litigator, where he still practices as a partner with the firm and head of the Toronto litigation group. Douglas’ practice focuses on all manner of commercial disputes, professional liability defence and insurance coverage disputes.
Douglas previously served as a board member for the Barbados Ball Canada Aid, a not-for-profit organization based in Toronto that raises funds for scholarships for Barbadians and Canadians of Barbadian heritage, and also for much-needed medical device investment into the public hospital in Barbados. For many years Douglas has also volunteered with Pro Bono Ontario on many initiatives to provide access to justice to low-income Ontarians, and led a social benefits case that won Dentons a Lexpert Zenith award in 2010. Douglas is currently a member of TCS’s governance committee, having been appointed in November 2021.
Douglas lives in Toronto with his wife Rachel, and daughters, Brynn and Charlotte.
Isabel is an experienced strategic marketer and innovator who combines start-up experience with corporate strategy and operations. She is currently the head of content strategy & distribution at RBC Wealth Management Canada, following three years leading marketing for the personal savings & investments (PSI) portfolio at Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to PSI, Isabel started the growth marketing team at RBC Ventures (now RBCx), an innovative group within the bank that builds new ventures and acquires growing firms to create new relationships with Canadians. Isabel spent the prior decade in various strategic and marketing leadership roles, notably at McDonald’s and eBay Canada, and at leading Toronto tech start-ups.
Isabel graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in economics and holds an M.B.A. from HEC Montreal. At Princeton, Isabel was part of the women’s rugby team who went on to win the national championship in 1994 and 1995.
Whenever she can get away on the weekends, Isabel enjoys the outdoors with her husband, three kids and their beloved dog Maple.
Migara is a proud TCS graduate and successful seven-miler, having attended Trinity College School from Grade 7 to Grade 13. During his time at TCS, Migara was an avid player of several sports, including soccer, football, and cricket. He was an active member of campus life, residing in C Dorm in the Junior School, a tuck shop member, and ultimately one of the heads of house in Bickle during his graduating year.
Migara attended the University of Toronto after leaving TCS, where he did two Bachelor of Science degrees — one in biochemistry and microbiology and the other in cell and molecular biology. He began his gene therapy work on HIV at the Fitzgerald P3 Lab, U of T Faculty of Medicine, where he worked on the design of ribozymes for HIV resistance. He was also a representative for Microbiology Graduate Department at C.U.E.W. and the Graduate Student Union, and vice president of the Microbiology Graduate Student Union.
With a lifelong passion for dentistry, Migara gained admission to the U of T Faculty of Dentistry in 1991 and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. He completed a general practice residency at the University of Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital and Eastman Dental Centre in 1997.
Migara went on to build a distinguished career as a cosmetic dentist in Markham, Ontario, as CEO of Dr. Migara Weerasinghe Dentistry Professional Corporation. He has also served as an emergency courtesy associate for dentistry in the department of surgery at Markham Stouffville Hospital, a role he has held for over 25 years. Migara has also been imparting his knowledge as a clinical instructor in emergency dentistry, oral medicine, and diagnosis at University of Toronto since 2013.
Migara has served on the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario’s practice enhancement and knowledge committee and as a political contact dentist for the Ontario Dental Association’s Oak Ridges-Markham riding. His political interests led him to serve as the executive board member of the Progressive Conservatives for the Vaughan and Oak Ridges-Markham ridings from 2006 to 2008. Migara has exemplified the spirit of TCS with his continued philanthropic efforts. He has fundraised and participated in multiple cycling events such as the Ride to Conquer Cancer, the Ride for Mental Health, Ride for Karen, and the Ride for Heart and Stroke. Deeply connected to his community in Sri Lanka and Canada, he assisted in providing medical aid following the 2004 tsunami and promoted local generosity as part of his annual food drive through Cornell Dental Centre.
Migara’s relationship with TCS remains solid. His three children, Ashleigh ’16, Miguel ’19, and Zachary ’23, have all graduated from TCS, and the School is an important part of his family tradition. Migara sits on the governance committee and will be honoured to serve as a governor, continuing his commitment to the TCS family.
Tova has a B.A. (economics) from Bishop’s University, M.Sc. (economics) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and is a graduate of the Advanced Executive Program at Harvard University.
She is currently working as a fractional/interim CHRO and also a strategic HR and corporate governance consultant. Tova is a former chief human resources officer and has held that role at Giant Tiger, Coca-Cola Canada, Coca-Cola Bottling Canada, and Indigo Books and Music.
Tova holds a chartered director certification from the Director’s College/Degroote School of Business. She is a governor of Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec and serves as the chair, governance and ethics committee and a member of the human resources committee and the joint board/senate committee for diversity, equity and inclusion. She is a past director of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.
In her spare time, Tova volunteers with Operation Smile as a medical records volunteer, dabbles in real estate, plays tennis and owns two of Ontario’s most established floral shops.
She lives in Port Hope and North Hatley, Quebec, and is proud mom to James ’24 and Maeve ’27.
