Turn on your 5G connection

Make sure you’re not on a call while attempting these steps. For a visual guide, check out ourTutorials.

 

Apple

 
  1. From the Home screen, select Settings > Cellular or Cellular Data.
  2. If you have an iPhone usingDual SIM with eSIM, choose the line you're making changes to.
  3. Select Cellular Data Options >Voice & Data.
  4. Choose5G Auto.
 

Samsung

 
  1. Open theSettings app and chooseConnections > Mobile networks.
  2. Select Network Mode and choose an option that says5G.
 

Google

 
  1. From the Home screen, swipe up, then choose Settings.
  2. Select Network & internet > SIMs.
  3. Choose Preferred network type and choose 5G (recommended).
 

OnePlus

 
  1. From the Home screen, swipe up, then choose Settings.
  2. SelectMobile network >T-Mobile.
  3. Choose SIM info & settings > Preferred network type.
  4. Select an option that says5G.
 

T-Mobile

 
  1. From your apps list, select Settings > Network & Internet. 
  2. Choose Mobile networks > Advanced.
  3. Select Preferred network type and choose 5G On.
 

moto

 
  1. From your apps list, select Settings > Network & Internet. 
  2. Choose Mobile networks and select Allow 5G.
 

Nokia

 
  1. From your apps list, select Settings > Network & Internet. 
  2. Choose Mobile networks and select an option with 5G.
 

LG

 
  1. From your apps list, select Settings > Network & Internet. 
  2. Choose Mobile networks >Network mode.
  3. Select 5G On.
