Sturgeon County Council requests public input on proposed Bylaw
1669/24. This Bylaw would redistrict a portion of SE-34-56-26-4 from AG – Agriculture to AG 2 – Agriculture 2 District, which accommodates
diversified agricultural development with increased traffic and visitors.
The proponent is seeking to operate an Event/Wedding Venue on the
property. As this land is currently designated as AG – Agriculture, it does not allow for this type of activity. Redistricting is being proposed to
accommodate or allow for the associated uses.
Each time land is redistricted, a bylaw is needed to amend the Land Use Bylaw, and a Public Hearing must be held.
