SINGAPORE – Singaporean musician Angelo Martinez is making his theatre debut in Pangdemonium’s upcoming show Dear Evan Hansen.

The 24-year-old landed the role after auditioning at an open call. Director and Pangdemonium co-founder Tracie Pang says: “Angelo was pretty much the last person to enter the audition room on the last of three days of open auditions. We had seen close to 150 people by then, including online submissions, and he really took us by surprise. When he sang, there was a vulnerability about him.”
