Passwords are more secure when they are long (at least 8 characters) and “unreadable”. An indication of optimal password design can be found on theMicrosoft website. Please bear in mind that you afford yourself a higher degree of protection when you do not use the same password for different services across the network. In order to meet the password requirements established for the Statista platform, the selected password must contain at least the following:
- 12 characters or more
- one number
- one special character (!%&@#$^*?_~)

In order to deactivate your free account, please access ‘Advanced Settings’ in your Account Details and then click on ‘Deactivate Account’.

To cancel your Starter Account, please follow these steps:

1. Open the "Account Details" menu.
2. Click on the "Cancel Account" link.
3. A new pre-defined message will open in your email client. Please add your user ID and the reason for cancellation in it. You can find your user ID in your Account Details.
4. Send the cancellation email. Our customer service will be notified, and you will receive a confirmation email about the cancellation.

For most topics, only the latest statistics are published. If you are searching for statistics on a particular time period, you may sort the results by clicking "date of publication" in the "sort by" filter located directly underneath the search field. You may also filter using the options on the lower left of the search results. The most recent statistics will be presented first, as well as information on the content and age groups of the data (for example, Pennsylvania, ages 18-24). Additional information may be found in the "More Information" box next to the statistic.

We proceed like other comparable editorial or scientific publications, e.g. specialist magazines, compendia, or encyclopedias. All data are researched, assessed, selected, and processed. In contrast to other traditional publication types, however, there is no textual description. Instead, only the data themselves are quoted, and detailed information on the source of the data is provided. In the case of online sources, the source of the data is usually not only indicated but can also be accessed directly via a link. As with other editorial offers, some of the researched content is available for free and some can only be accessed by paying users. Yes, for all studies, the information is first evaluated before publication.

Not all studies are currently available with evaluated and analyzed results. The results of some surveys must first be calculated based on primary data – for example, oversampling, which may cause some surveyed groups to be disproportionately represented. Therefore, some calculations and analysis are conducted in cooperation with the Department of Marketing and Media Management of the University of Hamburg. This cooperation ensures the quality of information according to widely accepted and recognized scientific standards.

Below each statistic, you can find information as to who has published the above data, who was surveyed in the process of collecting the data and what the respective group of respondents was questioned about (e.g. aged 18 or over, Germany). You can use the buttons "Description", "Source" and "More info" to show or hide detailed information on a particular statistic.

The application process may vary slightly depending on the position you are applying for, but is generally divided into the following phases:

1. Screening : We review your documents
   After we have received your application, our recruiters will check your documents. This may take some time, so please be patient with us. As soon as we know whether you are suitable for the position in question or whether we unfortunately have to end the process, we will contact you and give you feedback.
2. Introduction phase: We get to know each other
   You will have an initial interview with a colleague from our recruitment team. The aim is to find out more about you and your background. We will then also let you know whether you are still being considered for the position.
3. Interview phase: Are we a good match?
   In this phase, you will get to know your department head and possibly other peers in one or two detailed interviews. We may also ask you to prepare a case study for this phase. If this should apply to you we will of course inform you about this in advance.

We will discuss the specifics of your process during the initial interview and, of course, keep you informed of all steps at all times. The entire process can take between two and four weeks.
However, we will of course make every effort to give you feedback as quickly as possible at all stages.

The duration of the entire process depends on a variety of factors - such as the number of interviews and the joint coordination of appointments - so we can't tell you exactly how long the application process will take in your case. No, there is generally no dress code at our company. We value individuality and want you to feel comfortable with us. We trust that you are able to judge what clothing is appropriate for your job and the contacts related to it. For example, if you have regular customer contact in your field, it goes without saying that you should dress accordingly.  

Depending on the department you want to join as well as the position you are applying for, you will have 2-3 optional home office days per week. However, we also offer fully remote working for some positions. You can find out if this is an option for your particular job in the corresponding job description. If there is no full remote option for your position, we will of course offer you special leave days for your relocation and support you in the visa process if necessary.
