An obscure planetoid deep in the Outer Rim, Polis Massa nonetheless occupied an important place in galactic history: The Skywalker twins were born there and given names by their mother Padmé Amidala before she died. And plans made in secret on Polis Massa would one day determine the fate of the galaxy.
History
A cataclysm destroyed the Outer Rim planet Polis Massa, leaving an asteroid field in its wake. After Order 66 all but wiped out the Jedi, this lonely outpost provided a brief respite forObi-Wan Kenobi andYoda before they went into exile.
Attended by medical droids,Padmé Amidala gave birth to her twinsLuke andLeia on Polis Massa. She died and the twins were split up, with Obi-Wan taking Luke to TatooineandBail Organa returning home toAlderaan with Leia. A generation later, the children ofAnakin Skywalker would play key roles in overthrowing theEmpire.
