    Clone Commander Wolffe

Clone Commander Wolffe (clone designation CC-3636) once served under General Plo Koon in the Clone Wars, as commander of the tight-knit unit known as the Wolf Pack. A seasoned and battered combatant, over the three years of the conflict Wolffe witnessed some of the worst the war had to offer. Early in the Clone Wars, he lost his entire command when Master Plo's flagship, Triumphant, was destroyed by the cyborg General Grievous. Despite such tragedy, he fought on bravely, proudly brandishing his battle scars and instilling loyalty among his men. But after the Empire takes hold, Wolffe is among the good soldiers who now follow the orders of Emperor Palpatine above all others.

History

Commander Wolffe served alongside Jedi GeneralPlo Koon aboard the flagshipTriumphant during the early days of the Clone Wars. Wolffe was an essential member of Koon’s squad of clone troopers — nicknamed the Wolf Pack — helping to form the team into one of the most celebrated units in the Grand Army of theRepublic. When theTriumphant was destroyed byGeneral Grievous’ superweapon, theMalevolence, an ion cannon-equipped warship that could cripple multiple Jedi cruisers with a single blast, Commander Wolffe, Master Plo and troopers Sinker and Boost escaped in a life pod and were rescued whenAnakin Skywalker andAhsoka Tano responded to Wolffe’s distress call.

The detail-focused Wolffe – who’d lost an eye in a close encounter withAsajj Ventress – had a sense of strategy superior to that of most clone officers, making him a highly effective complement to Plo. The Wolf Pack fought in many battles. Commander Wolffe led the space attack against Separatist forces blockadingFelucia, opening a gap in the blockade that allowed Master Plo to extract Skywalker andObi-Wan Kenobi from the planet below. When MasterEeth Koth was kidnapped by Grievous, it was Commander Wolffe who spotted a clue left by the Jedi Master leading to his rescue. And Wolffe served on the ground assault on Felucia, leading his squad of jetpack-equipped troopers into the Felucian jungles following Master Plo's command.

But Wolffe and the rest of the pack were also entrusted with missions away from the battlefield. After quakes devastated the Mid Rim planet ofAleen, they brought badly needed supplies to the inhabitants in a relief effort. Wolffe and his troopers fought alongside Plo when the Republic raided Kadavo to freeTogruta colonists kidnapped byZygerrian slavers. And when Ahsoka Tano was accused of killing a witness to a bombing at the Jedi Temple, Wolffe hunted the Padawan throughCoruscant’s underlevels after her apparent betrayal of theJedi Order. Near the end of the Clone Wars, Plo and Wolffe tracked a distress signal to the moon of Oba Diah, where they discovered a crashed Jedi shuttle — and the lightsaber belonging to the long-dead Jedi MasterSifo-Dyas.

At the dawn of the Empire, Wolffe was among the clones who served the new regime. However, he and Rex eventually found themselves united again on the same side. Years later, Wolffe retired aboard a modified AT-TE, huntingjoopas on the plains ofSeelos with his fellow clonesRexandGregor. WhenKanan Jarrus and theGhost crew showed up, Wolffe was the first to question the Jedi’s motives and even went so far as to contact theEmpire, fearing the Jedi wanted revenge. Rex was able to talk sense into the weary clone but it was too late. The Empire had sent aprobe droid and discovered the crew’s whereabouts.
