    When selecting a device for a specific application, it is important to consider criteria beyond current and voltage ratings, such as the low voltage drop of power Schottky diodes or the suitability of field effect rectifiers at certain current densities and voltages. Silicon carbide and ultrafast bipolar diodes are ideal for heavy-duty, high-voltage converter applications, with silicon carbide diodes having virtually no recovery losses and ultrafast bipolar diodes offering increasingly softer recovery iterations. Bridge diodes ensure rugged operation, while signal Schottky diodes offer high accuracy in various applications.

    New ultrafast and power Schottky diodes deliver high power in 1.1 mm high, extra-slim package

    Housed in an extra-slim PSMC package (TO-277A) able to withstand very high operating junction temperatures, this new ultrafast and Schottky diode series minimizes the PCB footprint while bringing the best of thermal efficiency.
    In addition to having a low forward voltage drop and avalanche capability, theseultrafast andSchottky barrier rectifiers, which are rated from 30 to 200 V with a current rating from 5 to 12 A, help ensure greater compactness of equipment, with increased power density and efficiency, in a large range of applications including car modules, industrial equipment, telecom power systems and personal electronics.
