Up to Speed (known asGotta Go Fast in PAL versions of the game) is a single-playerevent match inSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U. In it, the player controlsSonic, and must defeatFox,Falco, andCaptain Falcon in a high-speed 1 stock battle. The opponents appear to have little launch resistance.

Progression[edit]

This event is unlocked by clearingThe Original Heavyweights and having Falco unlocked. Completing the event unlocks the up path.

• Up path: Awards 500G. Leads toPokémon Battle.

Completing the event on hard difficulty within 25 seconds awards an Unharmed Speedster Ringequipment.

• The music used in this event,White Land, normally plays onPort Town Aero Dive, rather than Windy Hill Zone.
  • It may be a reference to the White Space inSonic Generations.
• Sonic's opponents are the same as all three fighters who appear inEvent 43: Birds of Prey inMelee.
• The European title for the event is a reference to the original 4Kids English opening toSonic X (commonly referred to as "Gotta Go Fast").
