Luminosity Makes Moves Miami 2024 was aSuper Smash Bros. Meleemajor andSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatesupermajor held in Sunny Isles Beach,Florida from November 1st-3rd, 2024. Similar to previous events,Steve was banned at the event. In addition to theSmash titles, the tournament also held aRivals 2 event.

Super Smash Bros. Melee[edit]
The largest top player upset of the event was on #3 seedMang0, who lost 2-3 to #30 seedEquilateral for an upset factor of 7. Mang0 ultimately DQ'd in losers, placing 33rd.
The beginning of top 8 hadAklo andZain verse in bracket and would mark the first time Aklo defeated Zain withLink, only dropping Game 2 withFox. This win is what many consider the greatest achievement that a Link player has made at a major tournament and the character's best wins since Aklo's run atRedemption Rumble.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
Top 8 of the tournament included a multitude of similarities toLuminosity Makes BIG Moves 2024. Firstly, all four Luminosity Gaming players (Tweek, Sonix, MkLeo, and Maister) were present in top 8 and placed the same at both events, placing 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th respectively. For grand finals of the tournament, Sonix would take the first two games in a dominant fashion and while Tweek would be able to slow down Sonix's momentum and take the third game, Sonix would ultimately win the set. In the runback, Tweek would be able to hold his ground and take the set 3-1 after a very close fourth game. This would mark Tweek's third supermajor win of the year after Luminosity Makes BIG Moves 2024 andGet On My Level X, coincidentally all being Max Ketchum-organized events where he beat Sonix in Grand Finals, as well as his first major win sinceSmash Ultimate Summit 3 where he won off a kill screen instead of the opponent SDing. This would also be the seventh major/supermajor of the year Sonix would end his run as runner-up for tournament. While MkLeo and Miya were both in attendance andrecently became tied for the mostUltimate major wins, neither would win the crown to break the tie, placing 4th and 9th respectively.
