Kagaribi 5 was aSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatesupermajor held in Tokyo, Japan, from October 30th-31st, 2021. It was initially scheduled for July 31st, but a state of emergency in Tokyo from aCOVID-19 outbreak caused it to be delayed to August 29th, then to October 31st.[1][2] Just likeKagaribi 4, it held all Japanese PGR players attending except forT,Kuro, andRon and was the biggest Japanese tournament sinceEVO Japan 2020. The tournament is notable for being the first and currently the only major ever won bySora, who was released only a couple weeks earlier.
