2GGT: KTAR Saga was a super regionalSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament that was held at the eSports Arena center in Santa Ana, California on July 23rd, 2016. After the lastKTAR event,KTAR XVIII followingKeitaro's moving out to California for his job atCounter Logic Gaming, he arranged one last KTAR-related event with Champ as part of the 2GGT series. Over 20 smashers from out-of-state traveled to compete, including KTAR regularsVinnie,False,DKwill,Marss,Mr.E,Pugwest, and players from other regions such asMVD,Pink Fresh, andFOW. Smashers from other countries also participated, namelyMr. R,Alphicans,2ManyCooks,Captain L,cyve, andEddy.
2GGT: KTAR became the largest one day tournament inSmash history with 414 entrants, although it was eventually surpassed by2GG: Breakthrough with 432 entrants.
