2GGC: SCR Saga was asupermajorSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U tournament, organized by2GGaming as the seventh qualifier of their2GG Championship Series. It was held on August 19th-20th, 2017.
The event was dedicated to SoCal Regionals (SCR), an annual fighting game tournament organized by Level Up Series that featuresSmash 4 among its titles. As such, SCR Saga featured side brackets forStreet Fighter V,Tekken 7,Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, andInjustice 2 along with the regularSmash 4 brackets. To link the themes ofSmash and other fighting games likeStreet Fighter, the event was also dedicated toRyu. It featured many of the world's best Ryu players, such asLocus,Chanshu,takera, andVenom, as well as other top players likeZeRo,MkLeo,Nairo,Ally,Tweek,VoiD,Larry Lurr, andkomorikiri.

- The "2GG Curse" continued as neither Larry Lurr nor ANTi could win the tournament, as they were previous winners of SCR.
- In addition, no Ryu player qualified for Top 8.
