Swirlix (ペロッパフ,Peroppafu) is a creature from thePokémon media franchise.
Swirlix is a Fairy-type Pokémon introduced inGeneration VI, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #684 as the "Cotton Candy Pokémon". It is found in the wild inPokémon X as a version exclusive: itsY counterpart isSpritzee. Swirlix evolves intoSlurpuff if traded holding a Whipped Dream. Both it and its evolved form have a signature Ability, Sweet Veil, which prevents it and any other active allies from falling asleep.
Cotton Spore is a move introduced inGeneration II which lowers the target's Speed by two levels. Swirlix can learn it at level 17.
As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]
Swirlix can be summoned from aPoké Ball: while on the field it releases a pink cloud whichslows the movement speed of nearby opponents, similar to theTimer item andAshley.
Swirlix has a spawn chance of40/975. It cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies to both games and only the base form unless noted otherwise):
Swirlix's trophy is randomly available in both versions. InSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U it is part of thePokémon X & Pokémon YTrophy Box.
- Swirlix
Swirlix, a Fairy-type Pokémon, has a serious sweet tooth. However, all those sweets make its fur really sticky. If you trade a Swirlix while it holds Whipped Dream, it'll evolve into a Slurpuff. In Smash Bros., Swirlix likes to use Cotton Spore. Getting hit by this attack will seriously slow you down.

Swirlix has a serious sweet tooth – it eats so many sweets that even its fur is sticky and sweet. Not that you should try eating its fur. In this game, it'll use Cotton Spore to slow down all of the other fighters. See? Definitely not edible. Fun fact: if you trade Swirlix while it's holding a Whipped Dream, it'll evolve!
