Trivia[edit]

  • This event match is a reference toEarthBound where Ness must defeat the extraterrestrial enemies working under the main antagonist,Giygas.
  • This event match's CPU fighters are extraterrestrial-themed, as they either originate from games taking place in futuristic space games (Samus, Fox, Falco, and Captain Falcon) or from games which take place on other planets (Kirby).
  • This is the only non-All-Star Mode event match inMelee which takes place on multiple stages.
