South Mexico is a MexicanSmash region which encompasses the Mexican states Chiapas, Guerrero, Morelos, and Oaxaca. The region borders theWest Mexico states, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, and Michoacán to the north; theCentral Mexico to the west, andEast Mexico states Hidalgo, Puebla, Tlaxcala, and Veracruz to the east.
Historically, the region was one of the largest contributors to the competitiveSmash scene in Mexico during the 2000s, with players such as1233 andAphelion, one of the first notable mexican players inMelee. Nowadays, although not represented as much, some players made their names in theUltimate life-span, likeBonilla, one of the bestR.O.B. players in Mexico, andMar, one of the bestBayonetta players in the country.
