Snivy (ツタージャ,Tsutarja) is a creature from thePokémon series.

Origin[edit]

Snivy is the Grass-typestarter Pokémon of the Unova region, alongside Fire-typeTepig and Water-typeOshawott, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #495 as the "Grass Snake Pokémon". It evolves intoServine at level 17, then intoSerperior at level 36. The evolution line is commonly associated with the moveLeaf Tornado.

Razor Leaf is a Grass-type move in thePokémon games. It has 55 base power and 95% accuracy, hits all adjacent opponents in 2 vs 2 battles, and has a high chance of scoring a critical hit. Neither Snivy nor its evolutionary relatives can legitimately learn Razor Leaf.

InSuper Smash Bros. 4[edit]

As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]

Snivy can be summoned by aPoké Ball. It attacks withRazor Leaf and overall works similarly toChikorita in previous games, though the leaves it shoots are more spread out.

Snivy has a spawn chance of38/975. It cannot be summoned on the following stages in a standard versus match (applies to both games and only the base form unless noted otherwise):

Trophy[edit]

InSuper Smash Bros. for Wii U the Snivy trophy is part of thePokémon Black & Pokémon WhiteTrophy Box.

When it evolves into Serperior, however, it sheds those legs. In Smash Bros., Snivy unleashes Razor Leaf on fighters, sending sharp leaves flying and damaging anything in range.

PALLike Ekans and Onix, Snivy is known as a snake Pokémon. Unlike those Pokémon, it has two legs. When it eventually evolves into Serperior, though, it loses them. It attacks using Razor Leaf, which sends super sharp leaves flying into fighters in front of it, potentially hitting them over and over again.
